American Lung Association - 7 steps to a smoke free life

February 10, 2008

Any smoker who reads this article and still can’t kick the habit just doesn’t want to. 7 steps to a Smoke-Free Life is a no holds barred, well thought of serious, scientific and sympathetic plan for quitting smoking. The book is based on the American Lung Association’s award-winning Freedom From smoking Program.

Right off the bat, the book strikes at the very core of the smoking problem by methodically tearing down smokers’ every possible excuse to light up that cigarette while stressing all the reasons to stub it out. The seven steps comprise an airtight plan that covers all the bases, so to speak, and leaves quitting cold turkeyjust as its adjective says-cold. The articles gets through to readers because it does not pontificate and is so obviously written b empathizing people who were once in the trenches fighting he addiction themselves.

7 steps recognizes the critical fact that no two smokers are alike and provides an individually designed quitting plan for them. Each step in the plan is built around the smoker’s unique personality, habits, lifestyle, and needs. 7 steps is simply relentless. It hammers the smoker physically and psychologically, preparing him for the big quitting day and is equally nforgiving in ensuring that the ex-smoker quits for good.
