The best teacher in my life

December 28, 2008

Sigh! What to say about this post here?! Well, I already have the best teachers in life’s can say that it is not only teacher but teachers because I had more than one best teacher. I don’t have a lot to say on this. Anyways, one of those best is my family. They have taught me how to be me (gets?).Next was my teacher during pre-school, I don’t know why she’s so special. Maybe because she was so nice and gentle. She was also my first teacher in school. Then my math teacher in grade 4.my capacity in English speaking was really tested because she was from America. I really like here for her simplicity and for being glamorous. I find her very unusual. Then my physics teacher. he has this ability that you really can’t understand but you know on the other hand that he’s opinions were also correct, he was also an intelligent teacher. Next was my adviser during the last years of my high school life. She treated us so well that she was so concern and sensitive for us. She was very memorable and she was like a mother to us. I easily get close to people who understands me and whom I can open to anytime and who also shares with me their experiences where I can learn. And of course those that I don’t forget because of their uniqueness. And I almost forgot that my experiences are also my best teacher in life. If I haven’t experienced those, I can’t be where I am now and I will not grow maturely. so we have to cherish our best teachers and learn a lot from them. They will lead us to the right path. Nothing more to say and i need to go now. Bye!

Merry Christmas!!!

I expect when student’s day

December 23, 2008

Hmmm…Student’s day is just around the corner. What should we expect during this event? Maybe a lot of students will really be excited because there would be no classes again, yeeey!!! We have all the time to do our leisure like go to the malls, staying at home and doing all our stuff, hanging out with friends, and guess what it is weekend no wonder bars, like autoshop, venue, mts, liquid and a lot more of party places will be filled with funky and party people. But unfortunately I’m not one of those. For those who know me, maybe they’ll think I’m lying (wondering why? don’t bother to know about it.).I just can’t be like them. I’m simply innocent! Well honestly I don’t have any idea about the events on this student’s day yet but I hope that we could rest from those "nose-bleeding" lessons especially in the major subjects. I know students like me love this. And it is finals anyway. we don’t have to be pressured by those brain washing and confusing topics in the subjects. We have to rest and relax our minds so when final examination comes, our minds are in perfect condition because we are inspired by the happy experiences we have. Right guys? hehehe just kidding’. Mr. Exander Barrios might gives me low score on this. So, how about the other students out there. What do you think will happen to us during this controversial activity of the school? Have cool weekdays everyone!

ITE Festival 2008

December 20, 2008

Whew. At last the tiring but successful day had already ended. The ITE day spent was fun and exciting, though not really that fun but it was alright. The first day was quite challenging because of the major events that was held like the quiz bowl. it was the first thing in the morning during the first day followed by some more contests regarding com-
putters like ms paint, fastest typist and more arts effect in the computer.

Volleyball and basketball were also part of the main events. Students played under the heat of the sun because it was really a hot day. But even if it was a hot day, players just ignored it because they were concentrating on their respective games. There was a lot of fun in the quadrangle of the UIC main campus. You can say that ITE people are really hyperactive. You would definitely not regret being a part of this program.and to other people; you would not waste your time being with these very exciting and fun-to-be-with "creatures”. though it people are being labeled as the very chaotic among all the other courses, still we just have to say that this is what we are and this makes the information technology environment unique.

Unforgettable life

December 16, 2008

In 17 years of living in this world, I have already experienced many things. There were great experiences, and bad experiences. And as I become more mature, I learn from these experiences. As what others say, experiences are the best teachers in life. You learn from those and they serve as your guide through life. Once you encounter that certain experience, you already know how to react on it and not to commit the same mistake again. Like others, I also do have my own several experiences which made a change in my life. and not being aware of it, I thought the people around me made those changes for me, but I was wrong, it was myself alone who lead me to this kind of lifestyle.

Having and choosing the environment where if am now is my choice and my own desire. but the things that made a change in my life is the most unforgettable and the greatest part of my life especially the things that made me a better person. The things that I have done during my childhood years were one of it. I was really during that years of my life (hope you won’t mind if i don’t mention them anymore I would just like to keep it myself).my parents also was a part of that change. They have done a lot for me and they were always there to watch over me and help me go through that change since all of us really have to adjust to some things. Sometimes we think of our parents as our nightmare because we don’t like to be reprimanded, but those reprimands were always our experience with our parents. And if we only listen to those reprimands, it will surely do a great change in us and make us a better person. When we talk about experiences, who forget friends? I’m just an ordinary girl who also has friends with me. Every time we hangout, we learn from each other’s experiences. We really can’t avoid sharing things and secrets to each other.

Same thing with my life as a student, experiences in school, not only in academics had changed me but also my daily experiences with my classmates and teachers. And of course my personal experience with my surroundings especially with nature-since I am really a nature lover every time I interact with nature, it makes me feel relaxed and overwhelming. It makes me realize that changing for good is such an amazing feeling. It makes you feel loved and it makes you feel comfortable that you have changed through your own effort and responsibilities. It enlightens your mind and has a feeling of openness to other changes. We just need to have an open mind to accept this change and be responsible enough to handle them.

The best and worst movie I have watched

December 12, 2008

I have already seen a lot of movies since I was younger and I really can’t identify what were the best and worst movies that I have watched. As far as I remember, the first movie that I have seen during my childhood years was the "Princess Sarah" but it wasn’t my best movie.

The best movie for me is a literature type and it describes "Troy”. it has really a great story’s know a lot of people have also seen this because it was also one of the great films during 2004 I think. The movie shows the bravery among the Greeks and the Trojans. They had fought just because of a woman which is Helen. It was all in action, drama, and romance…and they had a splendid setting. Their effects were realistic that amazed the people. Brad Pitt has done his role very well and so with the other characters. Aside from Troy, there are still some movies that I really like. Some of these are the movies of Jacky Chan because it is a full action and at the same time comedy and the great thing about his movies is that his bloopers during the shoot is being shown at the end and it is really funny. I also like the Korean horror movies like the grudge, and more horror movies. “The Exorcism of Emily Rose" which was a true story revealed the unusual things that people don’t believe. and a lot more movies to watch again.

Contrary to this, well, it is not really that worst maybe it was only bad for me because I didn’t understand it. I wasn’t able to catch up on the flow of the story of the Gladiator. The setting of the Gladiator was quite similar with Troy but the problem was the plotting. I think it was all about battle and torturing. Once I don’t understand the story I easily lose interest on it like the Mouline Rouge (I forgot the spelling). They were singing throughout the movie…and it was quite boring for me…no offense for those who like it was just my own opinion.

So those were my best and movies so far. There are still many incoming movies to wait for. best movies to come and more worst movies. Just sit relax and see a movie.

Internet is the superhighway information

December 8, 2008

Agree! Internet this generation is already the information superhighway. Unlike before that we have to use the tiring searches on the encyclopedia and all those reference stuff. isn’t it a waste of time scanning the pages of those thick books just to find a piece of information. Compared to the internet now, just click and drag and a little of typing then. Snap! There’s the information you’re looking for, and more info about your research. Internet now a days are not only information highway but also communication super highway. in wherever part of the globe you are, it is already very fast and easy to communicate through internet, you can chat, exchange messages through e-mails, and can even talk with less expense and the great thing is that you can use a web cam to see each other while doing the talk. It is very important when your loved ones are away and you have internet connection. it easy to get in touch with them.

So as what I have said, internet is information superhighway not only because you can do the research here but you can also do things in no time. it makes your job faster and appropriate. Less errors and it makes your work neat and organized. As we all know, this generation is already very hi-tech and without internet, we cannot discover those things that are unusual. And through internet we can gather information’s of other people especially our friends. Particularly those people who have been gone for a long time. Internet is a multi purpose and it is very useful especially to those people who are businessmen, students and even the ordinary people.

We just have to expect that internet will be more developed in the future. More features will be added and more works and job will be done. Just don’t abuse the right usage of the internet. We have to use it the right way not the other way around.

Men or Women become leader?

December 5, 2008

The Council of Women World Leaders is a network of current and former women presidents and prime ministers. The Council currently has 35 Members, which represents nearly all of the world’s current and former women world leaders. The Council and Ministerial Initiative create a global architecture for giving a collective voice to women at the highest levels of government. Their mission is to promote good governance and enhance the experience of democracy globally by increasing the number, effectiveness, and visibility of women world leaders. Mary Robinson, President of Ireland (1990-97) is Chair of the Council, and Secretary Madeleine Albright is Chair of our Women’s Ministerial Initiative.

–this issue here is from the "council of women world leaders". these women that are being mentioned in this issue has done a great part in this world, they have served several countries like Sweden,Norway,Finland,Iceland,Germany,Philippines,N.Zealand,Denmark,U.K,and Ireland.some of the women that are a member of this council were presidents, and prime ministers.and we all know that being a leader is not an easy and usual thing to be and to do especially to the part of the women. others might think that i am being bias because i’m also a girl.but it’s not that.i just think that women could also be good leaders because women think differently from men.i guess women are more open minded and more responsible and organized in handling things…its not easy to give-up and sacrifice your precious time and effort just to serve and do your responsibility for others especially for the part of the women who has so many things to do for herself, career and some for their family-and considering the many differences of each human being that is within the nation you are handling, just like the Philippines which has a great population.

But for these women, they take all these responsibilities seriously without any regrets.like us,they also know that this job is difficult but still they wanted to help and serve us…women are more sensitive in responding to the needs of the people and this is one great quality that leaders should have.

i’m not saying that men are loosers and that they don’t have these qualities because only few men have the capacity to be like this.especially now-a-days that vices as we all know are already part of the men’s life especially gambling, drinking, smoking and some might even take drugs and these things could ruin them and affect their responsibilty as leaders.compared to women that are very conscious with their physical looks and their health.

we all had experience that ones we have good health and we look good,we feel inspired to do the things we should do and finish them the right way.and this is very necessary in handling great responsibilities.

"Leadership can be thought of as a capacity to define oneself to others in a way that clarifies and expands a vision of the future."—Edwin H. Friedman

For Disaster Spills - Fast Relieve

December 3, 2008

Emergency fixes for coffe spills and other unexpected cloghint-stain disasters at work.

1. Coffee. Blot with cold water, then apply a little dishwashing liquid and rinse. Follow with white vinegar and rinse.

2. Ink. Place stain face down on clean white paper towels. Blot (don’t rub) the back of the stain with baby wipes. As the stain flushes through onto the towels, replace with fresh ones.

3. Gum. Run an ice cube across the gum to harden it. Then lift off (don’t scrape) large pieces. To remove final traces, dab gently with a baby wipe.

4. Blood. Blot with cold water, then use a bit of detergent and rinse on cotton, polyester, rayon, and linen, apply a drop of household ammonia and rinse. (Don’t use ammonia on silk and wool-it could damage or discolor fabric.)

5. Lipstick. Place stain face down on clean white paper towels. Dab the back of stain with a baby wipe and replace towels frequently. Let dry. If the stain is still visible, use laundry detergent and warm water.
